YouTufy – Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using YouTufy (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use.

2. Description of the Service

YouTufy helps users manage their YouTube subscriptions by securely retrieving and displaying their subscribed channels and related public metadata using the YouTube Data API. The App is designed for personal use only.

3. User Accounts & Google Authorization

To use YouTufy, users must authorize access via Google OAuth 2.0. The App requests only the youtube.readonly scope to:

View YouTube subscriptions
Retrieve public statistics from subscribed channels

We do not upload content, modify accounts, or access private data.

4. Privacy & Data Use

Refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

No user data is permanently stored.
All processing is local — no external servers retain user information.
Data is only used for the requested functionality.

5. Data Security & Protection

We employ industry-standard security measures to protect user data:

OAuth 2.0 authentication for secure access
Encryption for all transmitted data
No permanent storage of personal credentials

6. Data Retention & Deletion

YouTufy follows Google’s Data Retention Policy .

User data is temporary — automatically removed when the session ends.
Users can revoke permissions via their Google Account Settings.
Google retains some metadata for compliance purposes, but YouTufy does not store any of it.

7. License

Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use only.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and source code are the intellectual property of Kigali Center of AI.

9. Limitation of Liability

YouTufy is provided “as is” without warranties. We are not responsible for:

Errors in data retrieved from YouTube API
Unauthorized changes to Google or YouTube accounts
Consequences arising from third-party API updates

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms. Any changes will be published here and take effect immediately.

11. Termination

Users may discontinue use at any time. We may restrict access if these terms are violated.
